5 interesting sources of inspiration for your next project

Ever want to start a new project but come up short on inspiration?  There is always the overused game and sci-fi themes or perhaps the hotrod and chopper style that we see over and over again on computer projects.  As a designer I think there are many many more places to find ideas than these overused and, dare I say, cliche sources.  With very little stretching you can explore all kinds of things to find forms colors and textures that might work on your next project.

Why does much of the design community ignore SilverLight?

Let me start by saying that I am a web designer.  I love PhotoShop, HTML, and Web Standards as much as the next guy.  I feel I need to say that before I write this because it’s possible that I may be accused of being a poser or agent of “The Man”  for saying what I am about to say, or rather, asking the question that’s been on my mind for a long time now.  Why does the design community ignore SilverLight?  Not only that but why does the design community refuse to acknowledge great tools like SketchFlow and SuperPreview?  Just asking… read more…
